In The Method, you step beyond theory and into the architect’s chair, not to design in abstraction, but to shape the most intimate corners of a life. Building on the foundation of 001TF, where you first met and interpreted Amélie Duval, this course challenges you to bring her private world — a bedroom or ensuite — to life with precision, depth, and authority. Over the journey, you will: Translate your TRA (The Residency Archetype) into advanced spatial form, refining the link between design identity and built environment. Work with advanced 3D modelling and VR environment, mastering workflows used by global design studios. Develop immersive, narrative-driven presentations that meet professional standards, ready for portfolio or client handover. Collaborate in pairs or work independently, mirroring real-world studio dynamics. This is not a generic design software course, it’s a methodical ascent into professional-grade design thinking, where every technical choice is rooted in identity, and every aesthetic decision carries narrative weight. Students will handle zoning, atmosphere building, custom furniture, bespoke prints, and immersive presentation techniques. By the end, you will have delivered a VR-ready, fully styled room, accompanied by a polished presentation deck and submission package. More importantly, you will have practised the discipline of design authorship — creating work that is unmistakably yours, yet deeply responsive to the life and identity of your client.
